PS Use Case(s): EJBCA
Customers will need to choose the PS Use Case(s) to insert into their selected Professional Services Package that best meets their business goals.
Onboarding packages include the deployment and adoption of 1 basic use case (chosen from the “basic” section below) in addition to core elements listed under the Onboarding Package Type description.
Additional Services packages can include any purchases amount of the following use cases and PS Adoption sets.
PS Use Cases Categories
Basic PS Use Cases: Basic use cases are the building blocks in configuring our products to meet each customer’s needs.
Intermediate PS Use Cases: Intermediate use cases are more complex use cases that require additional effort to install and/or configure.
Advanced PS Use Cases: Advanced use cases are highly complex use cases that require a large amount of effort to install and/or configure.
PS Adoption Sets: The additional PS Adoption Sets on any use case are designed to provide a deeper level of product adoption and enable customers to fully utilize Keyfactor products. Customers can purchase as many PS Adoption sets as needed, however recommendations for the amount of PS Adoption Sets per each Use Case are seen in the Adoption Set Section below. Each PS Adoption Set is comprised of 4 working sessions per order to be used within a 2 week period (2 sessions per week).
General Scope and Customer Participation
Use cases will all include the following Keyfactor responsibilities:
Install and configure each use case ensuring successful operations with customer environments.
Provide baseline customer enablement, displaying the steps for implementation and maintenance, to sustain successful operating procedures.
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure operational success.
Working sessions (and amount of working sessions) are programmed to cover the baseline goals of the implementation as determined by Keyfactor. Additional working sessions (furthering customer enablement and specific configurations) can be purchased separately.
Use cases will all require the following customer participation and responsibilities:
The customer is responsible for provisioning and maintaining the required infrastructure and resources necessary for the implementation and operation of the Keyfactor solution.
The customer must ensure that relevant team members are available to participate in workshops and training sessions to gain the necessary knowledge and skills.
The customer is responsible for reviewing and approving deliverables provided by Keyfactor to ensure they meet the desired specifications and requirements.
Working sessions (and amount of working sessions) are programmed to cover the baseline goals of the implementation as determined by Keyfactor. Additional working sessions (furthering customer enablement and specific configurations) can be purchased separately.

Basic Use Cases
EJBCA Health Check Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic investigation and performance testing of architecture and configurations of established PKI environments to contribute to the customer success plan.
EJBCA Use Case Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic investigation and performance testing of architecture and configurations of established PKI environments to contribute to the customer success plan as follows:
Configure 1 use case or alias to facilitate PKI operations using a specified protocol based on customer specifications.
EJBCA External Database Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of EJBCA instances and/or clustered instances for a connection to an external database.
EJBCA External HSM Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of EJBCA instances and/or clustered instances for a connection to an external HSM that is supported by the EJBCA platform.
EJBCA QA Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will prepare, review, and provide an environment test plan to facilitate quality assurance checks for an EJBCA instance.
EJBCA Validation Testing Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will validate and test EJBCA component configurations within a given instance.
EJBCA Logging Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of EJBCA instances to facilitate syslog forwarding to a specified log aggregator.
EJBCA OAuth Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of Single Sign-On for users and groups to be used for OAuth 2.0 Authentication within EJBCA.
EJBCA Clustered Instance Services - Appliance
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of an additional clustered EJBCA instance that corresponds to an EJBCA bundle. (HW/SW)
EJBCA Clustered Instance Services - Software
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of an additional clustered EJBCA instance that corresponds to an EJBCA bundle. (Cloud/Containers)
EJBCA Registration Authority Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will deploy and perform a guided basic configuration of up to 3 Registration Authorities within an existing or new PKI to support registration services.
EJBCA Validation Authority Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will deploy and perform a guided basic configuration of up to 2 Validation Authorities within an existing or new PKI to support validation services.
EJBCA Root Certification Authority Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of a Root CA to establish a root of trust for the PKI.
EJBCA Certification Authority Configuration
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided basic configuration of a Certification Authority within an existing or new EJBCA instance.
Intermediate Use Cases
EJBCA Microsoft Auto-Enrollment Services
Keyfactor’s Professional Services will perform a guided configuration of 1 protocol to facilitate certificate management using the Microsoft Auto-Enrollment protocol based on customer specifications.
Advanced Use Cases
EJBCA Key Generation Ceremony Services
Keyfactor will assist with a formal Key Generation Ceremony to include planning, a review processes, process gaps, and remediation.
PS Adoption Sets
The additional PS Adopt Sets can be applied to any use case and are designed to provide a deeper level of product adoption to enable customers to fully utilize Keyfactor products. Each PS Adoption Set is comprised of 4 working sessions to be used within a 2 week period (2 sessions per week). The recommended amount of PS Adoption Sets are as follows:
